Kathryn Proctor Duax has had joys in academia: She was a professor of music at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, for 37 years where she served as Coordinator of the Voice and Choral Area. Following her retirement in 2007, she taught for one year at UTSA.
A native of Mission, Texas, she holds a BA degree from Austin College, an MFA from the University of Minnesota, and a DMA from the University of Iowa. She studied voice with Bruce Lunkley, Roy A. Schuessler, and Herald I. Stark.
What the paragraphs above don’t say:
- She was a leader in the Christian faculty group at Wisconsin-Eau Claire;
- She started a Christian faculty group at UTSA;
- She lost two husbands to sudden illnesses;
- She lost a son to cancer.
We believe you will really appreciate hearing her story.
RSVP by email or text to Steve Pogue if you are planning to attend and we will have lunch for you.
