Dr. Joseph Oppong — March 23

Joseph Oppong is a medical geographer and associate dean of the Toulouse Graduate School. He will talk about his academic and spiritual journey from a small village in Ghana to his current position. He has been on the faculty of UNT since 1992.

In 2021 Joseph received the American Association of Geographers Ronald F. Abler Distinguished Service Honors. The award recognizes Oppong’s service and commitment to the discipline of geography and geographers in the United States and abroad.

Dr. Bob Bland — March 30




Bob Bland is Endowed Professor of Local Government. He will be sharing about his academic and spiritual journey from a ranch in northern Colorado to, eventually, his position here at UNT. He has been a professor at North Texas since 1982.

Gary Ray — Nov. 4 (2021 – postponed)










Gary Ray is Vice President for Enrollment at Texas State University.
His event was postponed due to COVID restrictions.

About Gary:
Gary Ray has served as the associate vice president for enrollment management and marketing at Texas State University since 2016. Before joining Texas State University, he served as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Texas Woman’s University from 2010 to 2016.

Mr. Ray previously held the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, for 19 years. Lee University is a Christ-centered institution near Chattanooga, Tennessee. He has a master’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Lee University.
